M&E Watchrepairs
Having the know-how, I repair every Watch and every Clock closest possible to their original way they had been manufactured many years ago. I do not hesitate asking fellow Watchmakers both local and overseas for advise if it helps the professional outcome of a restoration of a Timepiece.

This vintage "Grande Complication" not only displays the time with its hour- and minute hands on the dial, by the push of a button it chimes the amount of hours that have passed and the amount of quarters of the present hour that have passed . Pushing the button winds a little mainspring which will activate the chime device and by releasing the button you will hear "bim-bim-bim-bim-bim-bim" for 6 o'clock and bim-bam, bim-bam, bim-bam for 3/4 hours that have passed. The time is between 6:45 and 7:00 o'clock.

On top of it, this amazing little machine can be used as a chronograph counting the seconds (seconds counter).

This movement was serviced which included a new mainspring, both the pinion of the chime reduction wheel and the lever which determines the hour to be chimed had to be remade by hand.

The 18 carat gold case had no bezel, so therefore one was made by a casemaker. After an extensive repair with many hours of dedicated work the "Grande Complication" is again working perfectly, chiming beautifully and is looking stunning.
